In 1994, Terri was a civilian lawyer for the Air Force Space Command.  Subsequent to that, Terri was a colonel in the Judge Advocate General's Corps (JAG) for the USAF until 2014.   She was first elected in 2014.  In 2018 Terri won the Legislator of the Year Award from the Colorado Association of Realtors and in 2019, was presented with the Women of Excellence Award from the National Foundation for Women Legislators.  Most recently, Terri supported constituents of Senate District 9 by testifying against the city and Mr. Roth in support of the noise issue due to the Ford Amphitheater.  The constituents won the right to bring a law suite and maintained our state statue noise levels.  Terri is HIGHLY aligned with law enforcement and votes to assure that law enforcement agencies have and obtain the information they need to solve cases, to include those of illegal immigrants.  Terri fights against sentence reductions for violent criminals.  Terri supported legislation to mitigate human trafficking--bills that protect victims while prosecuting criminals.  Take a look at the Gazette article she wrote called "Sound of Freedom-A Call to Action."   Terri will be working to protect parental rights, minimize high crime, and work to make Colorado affordable for private citizens and businesses.  Terri has a keen interest in solving the issues that are driving businesses from our state.  She is pro-life, pro 2nd amendment and voted "yes" on bills that support protecting election integrity.

Terri demonstrates a solid record of support for bills in support of Colorado conservative values and the contractual/legal experience to amend bills that do not.  Terri is an absolute warrior and fighter for our state which is demonstrated by the bills she ran, modified, and passed.  Terri's website will depict those bills she supported on a number of issues such as sex trafficking, anti-policing, election integrity.  Her website outlines the many awards and endorsements she has earned.  See key bills:

HB17-1172 for Mandating prison sentences for child sex traffickers

SB21-190 to establish the nation's most stringent & comprehensive data privacy laws

HB16-1197 recognizing military training toward 60+ civilian occupational licenses
